Job Title: Teller
Job Description: As a Teller at CIB, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of operational tasks related to the cash area. This includes handling cash and non-cash transactions, operating ATMs, and introducing customers to alternative channels to reduce traffic in branches. You will also be responsible for accurately processing all cash counter transactions and coordinating with the Head Teller to manage the daily cash needs of the branch. In addition, you will be expected to cross-sell products based on customer needs and contribute to the achievement of the branch's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). To ensure maximum control of the cash balance, you will need to maintain zero shortages or excesses at the counter. You will also be required to detect counterfeit currencies, checks, and identities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ATMs, including preparing daily proof sheets, handling captured cards, and replenishing onsite machines. Report any malfunctions for repairs and maintenance.
- Introduce customers to alternative channels to reduce traffic in branches according to bank Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately process all cash counter transactions in accordance with set objectives.
- Coordinate with the Head Teller to manage the daily cash needs of the branch and ensure smooth shipment of cash between the branch and central vault.
- Investigate any discrepancies in balancing and reconciliation of cash and other security items by following the standard process of checking, scrutiny, and investigation outlined in the branch's SOP manual.
- Cross-sell products based on customer potential and needs without affecting primary work and service standards, contributing to the achievement of the branch's KPIs.
- Ensure that there are no shortages or excesses of cash at the counter to maintain maximum control of the cash balance.
- Check and rectify discrepancies in end-of-day reports to ensure adherence to all controls and procedures.
- Detect counterfeit currencies, checks, and identities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer-service oriented.
- Proficiency in basic software such as Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
